Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. It is with profound gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility that I acknowledge the trust placed in me by the Honourable President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and Chancellor of the University, who has appointed me as the Vice Chancellor of Chandpur Science and Technology University (CSTU) to lead its transformation from a state of shutdown to a vibrant institution of excellence. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Honourable Chief Advisor, the Education Advisor, the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Education, and the esteemed Chairman and members of the University Grants Commission (UGC) for their confidence and support. My sincere thanks also go to the Deputy Commissioner of Chandpur, local administrative authorities, political leaders, journalists, students, and the people of Chandpur for their warm welcome and encouragement.  

I would like to pay profound tribute to our revered martyrs and national heroes whose sacrifices, spanning from the historic Language Movement of 1952 to the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement of 2024, have shaped our nation. I also deeply acknowledge the sacrifices of those injured in these movements, many of whom now endure indescribable hardships. Their unconditional sacrifices have granted us the invaluable freedom to speak in our mother tongue, Bangla, enjoy the blessings of an independent and sovereign country, and reclaim our democratic rights in this beloved nation. Without their bravery and resilience, none of these freedoms would have been possible.  

Together, we will embark on a transformative journey to dynamize CSTU and position it as a world-class university. Guided by a vision to make CSTU an internationally acclaimed, industry-driven technical university aligned with the nation’s goals of fostering a vibrant economy and eradicating unemployment, we will focus on creating job-ready graduates, promoting entrepreneurship, and establishing a global reputation for academic and research excellence.  

Our mission is to advance learning and knowledge in Engineering and Technology, Science, Life Sciences, Marine Sciences and Fisheries, Social Sciences and Humanities, and Business Studies while building strong links between academia and industry through partnerships, innovation, and cutting-edge research. To achieve this, we will prioritize comprehensive student development by providing state-of-the-art infrastructure, including environmentally sustainable land acquisition, modern residential halls, playgrounds, gymnasium, swimming pool, medical centre, prayer halls, and reliable transportation. We will also invest in human resource development by recruiting world-class faculty and staff with outstanding qualifications and experience and modernizing administrative efficiency through specialized offices and divisions. Additionally, we will enhance administrative and academic excellence by establishing the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to maintain the highest educational standards and implementing the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) to ensure accountability and strategic goal alignment. Digital transformation will be integral, with systems like e-nothi and d-nothi streamlining operations.  

CSTU aims to foster global academic excellence by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with top international universities and promoting research collaborations with globally renowned institutions. These efforts will facilitate scholarships and global opportunities for students and faculty while fostering innovation and ground-breaking discoveries. Simultaneously, we will strengthen academia-industry partnerships to create job-ready graduates, promote entrepreneurship, and ensure a nurturing environment by providing healthcare, insurance, and financial support for our students and staff.  

With transparency, accountability, and shared responsibility as guiding principles, CSTU will emerge as a beacon of hope, quality education, and innovation, creating a significant impact on both national and global academic stages. Together, we will realize our collective vision of building a brighter future for CSTU, its students, and our nation.
